Moira checked a book out of the library that was just pictures of things kids had made, to use as inspiration. She decided to make a banner, and asked Shannon to help. Shannon held back and made minimal suggestions so this activity was mostly designed and directed by Moira.
She chose to use some white felt as her base, and cut it into strips. Moira used the fabric markers, and used one of the strips she cut to test out the pens before she drew on the real one. She wrote her name with each letter in sections like a digital clock, and for the first few letters each section was a different color.
She tried to tape the felt to the dowel, but that didn't work, Shannon suggested staples, and that seems to be working. They worked together to hang it on the bed.
