Science Center

We took Tillie and Sammy to the Pacific Science Center. Davis was convinced that he could put the chess pieces in the right places.

We spent awhile in the butterfly house. Moira successfully got a butterfly to land on her. She stayed still for quite awhile watching it. She and Sammy also noticed the injured and dying butterflies on the floor and talked to me about what was wrong with them.
Davis and I did the insect puzzles while waiting for everyone else to be done.
We also went to see the Tiny Giants Imax movie, and Davis had fun pretending to be a Scorpion Mouse for awhile.
As always the food area was super popular. Both kids have figured out the point of the meal game and spent quite a long time with Tillie and I to make the perfect meal. But there is a dearth of dinner options that aren't also full of sodium.
We got to do the Tinker Lab for the first time. All the kids spent awhile taking apart electronics.
Moira did a little piano, and Davis did a skinned Cookie Monster.
Sammy was working hard on a guitar with lots of pieces, and while we waited for her to finish, Moira and Davis explored a set of bolts and nuts and tools.
