Exploring the cutouts the scene department made. The Class description: Seattle Children’s Theatre bustles all year round as we plan, design, build, rehearse and perform our renowned professional productions. We take advantage of all that creative activity to provide these unique school-year opportunities. In the CAST (Creative Arts for Small Thespians) programs, we use creative drama techniques to bring stories and characters to life and explore all aspects of theatre arts. We also practice social and academic skills and get an inside look at how a professional theatre operates. Spaces in the Spring session of CAST are held for our CAST families who are registered for Fall session. Give us a call at (206) 443-0807 ext. 1186 to register for all three sessions (and receive $150 the entire tuition). Any available spaces in the Spring CAST program will be available online in early 2016. Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm. We investigate how SCT Mainstage productions develop from design and rehearsal into performance. We attend performances of all age-appropriate SCT Mainstage plays and actively explore their themes through drama games and exercises, as well as through discussion and group work. We also compare the process of developing and performing professional plays at SCT with our own art and science projects.

Moira's day in the spotlight, where she got to pick a special thing to hide in the mystery box, and also tall about her adventures with Luna.
It was crazy hat day the same day, but we forgot a hat. She made this one in class.Moira's class did a Not So Haunted House for Halloween. The kids design the theme and set, and act out the different parts.
Moira and Sammy are witches in the kitchen in this photo, but she did all the other parts at least once.
This is the advertising poster Moira made. That is a ghost weeping blood. Spooky!
A video walkthrough.
The final day of CAST there was a special showcase for the families of the students. The showed us some of the games they like to play. Here they are running across the room like their favorite animals.
They split into two groups and did a performance of their take on a scene from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
