Pike Place Market

We took a walk down to Pike Place Market to buy groceries. The kids noticed and collected acorns. We talked about why they are an important part of the ecosystem and not edible. Once we got down the hill, we saw the totem pole and so we walked down to look at it. We also listened to a gentleman playing music with homemade instruments, and decided to put some money in his bucket.
We didn't get to see any flying fish, but someone gave us a free bag of donuts. We went into an Italian deli, two Mexican delis, visited a butcher, and stopped at a couple of produce stands. There was a sudden rain shower, so we stopped and watch them make cheese for a while.
We bought tamales at one of the Mexican delis, and had them for lunch. We bought frozen fried plantains at the other, but the kids were less impressed with those.
