We decided to bring the K'Nex set Steve gave the kids for Christmas to work on at the Condo, since we wouldn't have to worry about the Roomba or the dog bumping into it. The kids were really interested in the schematics and picked the Scrambler to make first.
Moira is able to figure out how to put parts together from the schematics and really only struggled with adding the parts that need to clip onto the pole in the middle instead of the ends. She did start to figure it out, but it takes a lot of pressure and so she gets frustrated.
Davis mostly put together pieces as I handed them to him. But by the end of assembling the scrambler he could copy what was on one side of the connecting rod on the other end.
Once it was finished, the kids experimented with adding toy animals and Strawberry Shortcake to the ride.
