Czech Rebuplic cultural celebration

We had our cultural celebration for the Czech Republic. We made bird marionettes for a craft. Czech food included Bubalinka, Gulash, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, and potato soup.
We played lots of Czech games. I taught everyone to play "Sugar, Coffee, Lemonade, Tea, Rum, Bam!"
The other prepared activity was Kritz!
Presentations included teaching a favorite board game, teaching Pesek, and a talk about St Wenceslas.
Moira and Davis taught everyone to play The Golden Gate is Open. Everyone loved all the games.
Moira's bird (green and white) Davis's (brown). This craft was mostly done by the parents with the kids designing. Books we read: Golem By Wisniewski, David The Wall By Sís, Peter Built By Angels By Podwal, Mark H. The Twelve Months By Martin, Rafe A Visit With Great-grandma By Addy, Sharon Fireside Stories: The Twelve Months By Matthews, Caitlin The Golem's Latkes By Kimmel, Eric A. We are still finishing: The Secret of Gabi's Dresser By Kacer, Kathy
