Moira built this bed-fort with a babysitter, and it was very important to her that we leave it up for a long time. She also hid some surprises she made for St Patrick's Day and Easter under there.
The kids don't like to have Grumpy read to them as much anymore, but it happens sometimes still. He asked us to check out On Beyond Zebra from the library, and that was a hit.
Of course, The Book With No Pictures is always a hit.
The kids came home while I was working on costume sewing in the art room, so Moira came in to join us and design some outfits.
Moira and Davis have been playing a game with Sammy when she's over where Sammy and Davis compete in a series of challenges, and Moira grades them. Mostly they are artistic challenges, and Davis gets bored eventually and wanders away.
The points tally
Moira decided to make place cards for dinner while Ellis was out of town, and Sika was staying for dinner. This was the place card for Sika. Good joke.
The St Patrick's Day surprises were hats for everyone! Nice.
I introduced the kids to an old favorite series from my childhood. Davis liked it best at first, but it's grown on Moira.
