We heard that a number of restaurants around Seattle were participating in a special hunt where they had a limited number of Hello Kitty themed dishes, and you could collect them and get pins.
One of the participants was Hello Robin, right up the street from us, so Walker took the kids and they got their special Hello Kitty ice cream sandwiches.
Unfortunately, after that, enough adults had found out about the hunt that it became impossible for us to get one, because in order to do so, you had to line up really early before a store would open. The kids and Walker tried for a few weekends, and then I tried once on a weekday, and then we all agreed to be happy with the one pin we'd gotten.
